The short version
Use Quiver to research gear. Don’t be a jerk to other users. You keep ownership of what you contribute; by posting it you grant Quiver a license to display it. The product is provided as-is. We may add affiliate links to outbound retailer URLs; everything else is community-driven, not paid.
What you agree to by using Quiver
By creating an account or contributing to Quiver, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the product.
Acceptable use
- No hate, harassment, doxxing, threats, or spam. We’ll remove content and ban accounts that violate.
- No impersonation of other users or brands.
- No automated scraping, abuse of the API, or attempts to break other users’ experience.
- No content that violates intellectual property rights you don’t have. Posting someone else’s photo without permission is not OK.
- No illegal content. Anything that’s a crime offline is a crime here.
Your contributions
You retain ownership of the content you post — projects, SKUs, sources, takes, questions, photos, notes. By posting publicly, you grant Quiver a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and surface that content on the site (including in search, activity feeds, and shared links). The license persists for the lifetime of the content’s presence on Quiver and ends when you delete it (subject to the anonymized-retention note in the Privacy Policy).
Private content (drafts, notes) is yours alone — Quiver doesn’t display or share it.
Affiliate disclosure
Quiver may, at its discretion, append affiliate tracking codes to outbound retailer URLs (via Skimlinks or similar services). If you click a retailer link from Quiver and buy something, Quiver may earn a small commission. This commission has zero influence on product rankings, search results, or surface ordering — those are driven by community signal (votes, pins, mentions), never by payment.
If a piece of content on Quiver ever becomes paid or sponsored (it isn’t today), it will be clearly labeled.
Account termination
You can delete your account at any time by emailing auth@quiver.fyi from the address on the account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate these terms. We’ll usually warn you first, except in cases involving harassment, illegal content, or threats to other users.
As-is. No warranty.
Quiver is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. No guarantees of uptime, no service-level agreements, no guarantees that any specific piece of data will be available at any specific time. Don’t use Quiver as the system of record for decisions where downtime would cause real harm.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quiver and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the product.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes (e.g. new acceptable-use rules, changes to the affiliate disclosure) will be communicated by email to active users. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
